Those of us that love Aussies can’t imagine a more perfect breed. Their intellect, loyalty, devotion and quirkiness is like no other! This page is dedicated to Aussies and those that love them, now and always. Thank you for your support so that we can help Aussies in unfortunate situations find the love that you share with yours.

“Ali was so scared that she would run from everything, including me. Now, she is so loving and devoted. It brings tears to my eyes to think how incredibly lucky I am that we have each other. These doggies deserve a good life and I am grateful that I can help!”

“Barbara Rosenthal and I had Bear and Scout who were the two best dogs in my life. Scout lived 14 ½ years and Bear for 14 ½ years. Barbara Chahin Rosenthal, age 78, passed on September 24, 2023 after a brief but courageous battle with mesothelioma. A beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many, Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will never be forgotten by all who had the privilege of knowing her.”

“Desi was our first ARSD pup. She lived a full and healthy life until 14 years of age when she passed away peacefully. Desi was an awesome frisbee player and ball fetcher. She always had an enthusiastic smile. Desi was so smart and enjoyed life to the fullest! We cherish her memory and know that she is now with Cloud. ”

“In memory of Cloud, we ask you to appreciate the silly moments when you couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Cloud is loved and very missed.”

“Miss Emmie Lou is a professional snuggle bug who loves sitting on our patio. She is happiest being included in whatever her favorite people are doing. Sweet, snuggly, treat obsessed Emmie loves to do zoomies, go for hikes and even paddleboard. Emmie has completed our family and we are so lucky to give her the life she deserves!”

“Zoe is amazing as usual. We still run 5 miles 3 – 4 days a week. She loves the snow and the beach, but definitely likes the beach when it is empty and really just she and her brother Murphy. She is my little cuddle bug nightly which suits me just fine. And she is definitely my “little girl”! She has quite the wardrobe that she LOVES to wear. I’ve never seen a dog get more excited about putting on her party dresses!”

“Jack was the smartest, most charming, smiley wiggle butt! Jack was a medical foster from ARSD who we cared for through his surgery and recovery. He stole our hearts and officially joined our family as our second adopted Aussie. Jack never met a toy he didn’t want to destroy or a ball he wasn’t willing to retrieve. He greeted everyone with a toy in his mouth. Jack was a resilient boy, handling serious medical issues with grace and grit. Jack is loved and missed greatly. #goodboyjack ”

Cassie was our first Aussie adopted from ARSD. She was a beautiful, sweet and goofy girl who loved her family. It was amazing when we saw Cassie playing with a ball for what was probably the first time in her life. She was an excellent walking buddy during her many adventures. Cassie loved to visit Home Depot but hated Lowe’s. She excelled in all her training classes. If you asked her, Cassie would do it. She overcame so much and didn’t live nearly long enough to enjoy her triumphs. We love you always and forever, #cassiethewonderrescue.

In memory of Karyl Heathman who was an amazing leader in our Aussie Rescue community. She inspired many and is greatly missed. Karyl’s passion was to work with others to find loving safe homes for Aussies. She loved helping Aussies and herding mixes. We miss you Karyl. EVERYday!

“Ruckus was such a good boy… very loyal and smart. The best companion. Even at 13, he still acted like a teenager.”

Becky Rice passed away peacefully in 2019 after a long second battle with cancer. She was an amazing lady! Always wanting and willing to help someone in need (human and furry) and ready to fight for the underdog. Becky asked us to make sure that everyone smiled when this time came and that we remembered her happiness.
