Want to help Aussies, Border Collies and sometimes other breeds of dogs?
Whether you would like to interact with our dogs, work from your home or help transport once in a while, we need you. As an ARSD volunteer, you would be helping dogs have a future filled with comfort, love and happiness. Make a difference by becoming an ARSD volunteer today!
We do not have a facility but we do have a main foster residence located on a small ranch in rural Bonita, CA. This is where our dog interactions happen. We do not do public events. Many of our dogs were not properly socialized. They may be fearful, easy overstimulated and have training needs. Our dogs work with volunteers who can calmly guide them to become calm and comfortable while learning basic good manners. For volunteers who would like to work with our dogs in person, we do ask for a commitment to visit at least once a week for about one and a half to two hours. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
For volunteers who would like to help remotely, you could help with fundraising or other important administrative tasks. You would be saving lives and giving a future to dogs in need at your convenience from the comfort of your own home.
